Office yoga for architects

Barcelon Jang Architecture's staff started yoga exercises in the office when we moved to our new Fillmore location last November. What drove this decision was having a talented office manager who we saw practice healthy personal habits every day, such as stretching and eating salads with fruit, seeds and minimal carbs. We learned that during her time away from the office, Ariel Miller was working at a yoga studio in the neighborhood. So we asked if she could lead us through five-minute chair yoga exercises at our weekly staff meetings after our project updates. Just the remedy we needed to stretch those tight neck and back muscles due to so much time working on Revit, CAD and other computer work. Tomorrow, Ariel is off to a yoga teacher training at the Universal Yoga Center in Dharamsala, northern India, to begin her next journey in life. She left us with a video of her yoga stretches so we can follow along even in her absence.
